National Boys and Girls Clubs Cross Country 2020
Saturday 8th February saw the 64th National Boys and Girls Clubs Cross Country at Stubbers Adventure Centre, Essex.
Despite Storm Dennis being on the horizon, 81 young people took part in the 2020 event racing for the winner’s prizes in U11, U13, U15 & U17 age groups.
There was a real sense of competition on the day with young people giving their all in their races.
Through hard running and determination there was a high level of achievement from the runners, with some of them running their first ever cross-country race.
Plenty of medals were on offer for individual and teams of runners. Alongside this the Boxing Club Challenge Trophy and the junior & senior skipping challenge plaques.
With great feedback from young people, volunteers, coaches, parents and guardians we look forward to next year’s event being even bigger.
A massive thank you to all of those involved in making the event possible, giving young people the opportunity to engage in positive activity. We thank everyone in attendance and hope to see you at future NABGC events and activities.
